Louis Vuitton x NIGO Release A Collab

For its latest collaboration, Louis Vuitton partnered with Japanese designer and founder of Bape NIGO on a limited-edition collection. The LV² capsule features a broad range of tailored and denim looks heavily with patchwork and plenty of graphic logo manipulations.

The collection combines elements of streetwear from both NIGO and Virgil Abloh’s background into an updated assortment of elevated menswear. Since Abloh joined the French label as its men’s artistic director, the brand has enjoyed a cultural renaissance that pays homage to its heritage while incorporating, and even setting, modern trends. This is evident in the LV² line — highlights include a patchwork tote bag that combines the label’s signature monogram with an updated checker-print version. A pair of suits are cut in a similar oversized print. Denim ensembles are printed with crosshatched techniques that once again transform the LV monogram, this time into a bandana-like all-over print. It’s surprisingly successful and shows how effective the combination of luxury and streetwear can be when done with tact.

The LV² collection will be released later this summer. See some of the looks below now.
